Bail plea of orthodox priests rejected

The Kerala High Court on Wednesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of three Catholic orthodox priests accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

The Crime Branch demanded the custody of the priests and also requested to reject the bail plea, which the court accepted.

The prosecution strongly opposed the bail, saying that it could severely affect the case. FIR have been registered against the four priests as their names were mentioned in the victim’s complaint. In the complaint, it has been said that the priests sexually harassed the woman using one of her confession secrets.
