Iran, Pakistan to join in defence equipment manufacture,

Iran and Pakistan are working to jointly manufacture defence equipment, Reports said.

Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri was quoted by the media as saying that both counties would join together in Defence products. He said this after a meeting with Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He also held discussions with Chief of Pakistani Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi. The two counties are known to have discussed a wide range of topics including military education, pilot training, military drills and co-operation between the two countries’ defence industries.

Baqeri was in Islamabad for an official visit at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
