Google to give one million dollars for flood relief in Kerala and Karnataka?


Google to contribute one million dollars to the relief and restoration work in Kerala and Karnataka, which have seen the worst flood ir recent times.

“Googleorg and Google employees are contributing $1M, to support flood relief efforts in Kerala and Karnataka,” google Southeast Asia and India Vice President Rajan Anandan said.

He is reported to have said this at the Google for India event.

After Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has appealed to Malayalis across the world to contribute at least a month’s salary to help the state recover from the floods, contributions have been flooding the Chief Minister’s Distress Response Fund.
