US ambassador to UN Haley resigns


US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki R. Haley has resigned from the post-.

US President Donald Trump is reported to have accepted the resignation of Haley. Reports said that the president had said that she would be leaving the post at the end of the year after doing “an incredible job”.

Trump said Haley had told him six months ago she wanted to take some time off.

She was the 29th United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018.

Haley was the first female governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American, after Bobby Jindal, to serve as a governor in the United States.
