Supreme Court to hear pleas on Sabarimala Women entry on January 22


The supreme court on Tuesday said that the petitions filed seeking review of the judgement allowing entry of women of all age groups into the Sabarimala temple will be considered on January 22.

While hearing the petitions, the court said the review pleas will be heard in an open court.

It said all the review petitions along with all pending applications will be heard in open court on January 22. The court made it clear that there was no stay of the September 28 judgement.

The bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Rohinton Fali Nariman, AM Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud and Indu Malhotra considered the review petitions.
