CPM alleges BJP/RSS disrupting pilgrimage at Sabarimala

The CPM has alleged that the BJP and the RSS in Kerala have been organizing their activists to send to the Sabarimala temple since it opened for the current pilgrimage season from November 16 to cpm take control of the premises of the temple and to create a law and order problem there.

“Proof of this nefarious intent has now come to light with the exposure of a circular issued on November 14, 2018 by the Kannur District Committee of the BJP. The circular calls for the sending of 200 trained volunteers from four areas of the district to the Sabarimala temple on December 13. The circular has also instructed these volunteers to carry necessary “materials” in their handbags,”the CPM Politburo said in a statement.

It said that a unit of the ruling party at the Centre is planning to send “trained” volunteers with necessary equipment to the temple is a serious matter.

The CPI(M) strongly condemns this planned effort to disrupt the pilgrimage at Sabarimala temple. It calls upon the people to be vigilant about such dastardly attempt to disturb the sanctity of the temple.
