The maiden Indo-Russian Strategic Economic Dialogue is being held at St Petersburg in Russia with focus on transport, agriculture and agro-processing, Small and Medium Enterprises, digital transformation and frontier technologies and industrial cooperation among other key areas.
The Indian side is being led by NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, with the Russian delegation headed by Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin.
The two-day forum that started on November 25 are discussing the development of bilateral ties in trade, investment, technology and industry.
Addressing the participants of the first Russian-Indian strategic economic dialogue, Russian President Vladimir Putuin said Russia and India should give full play to already created and look for new solutions in removing barriers hindering mutual trade and capital investment.
He said that Russian-Indian business agenda has become increasingly rich, including cooperation in such areas as industry, finances and cutting-edge technologies.
