The CPI, an ally of the Left Government in Kerala, has come out against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the Sabarimala women entry issue.
The CPI state executive council said that the Chief Minister had sown unwanted hurry in implementing the Supreme Court verdict on the women entry issue. The unwanted haste only created confusion among the people, the CPI said.
Moreover, the contradictory stance taken by the CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Dewaswam Minister Kadakampally Surendran also created confusion.
Despite criticising the Chief Minister, the CPI was in full support for implemnting the Supreme Court verdict.
