India’s biggest startup incubator was launched at Kochi by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The incubator that is housed in a 1.8-lakh square-feet facility has incubation setups for a larger section of the segments.
The Startup Complex has been set up under the Kerala Startup Mission. It has ultra modern facilities such as “Maker Village” that is for promotion of hardware start-ups and “Bionest” for medical technologies.
After launching the incubator, Vijayan said that his government was for giving direct jobs to 250,000 in Information Technology sector. He also said that Kerala will have startup and incubation space of about half a million square feet after the completion of three major works.
