In another CPI(M) sitting seat of Attingal, the Congress might conider the candidature of Adoor Prakash, MLA. Caste equations and developements relating to the women entry in Sabarimala are likely to go in his favour.

The names of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, former PCC president V M Sudheeran and Shafi Prambil, MLA are also considered for various seats.
